Concept
Commissioned Collaboration with Elena Valdés Luxán. The vision was derived from the league's core values of accessibility, diversity, inclusion, and community.
To start out, the league will be based in Florida, so we studied the Florida landscape and signature elements with the beach, palm trees, and the city life within reach. The incorporation of time-lapse via parallax progression acts as both a journey to the rink and storytelling of how youth can grow up with this sport, become life-long fans, and participants in the sport.
The gameplay showcases a variety of sequences inspired from actual gameplay footage. The music choice was derived from the desire to invite the audience in with a build up to something greater and was inspired by the songs Today by Smashing Pumpkins and Number 5 by Blur.
